7 1/2" long Howlite and silver bracelet with S closure. These are small pebble blue howlite and silver findings. The barrel beads have a flower design, there are 3mm round round beads and 4mm round daisy beads and 2mm round beads.
This is hand strung on waxed cotton thread. The closure can be opened on either side but is sturdy enough to not open on its own.
Some people call Howlite turquoise but that is not accurate. Howlite is a synthetic or manmade material made to look like real turquoise. Know before you buy if your "turquoise" stone is a fake or not. Howlite changes temperate, turquoise does not when held to the skin.
Turquoise is naturally a soft stone, but howlite (the turquoise imitation), is even softer. This means that if you scratch your stone and it scratches easily, you most likely have a piece of howlite. But if it's very difficult to scratch your stone, you've got genuine turquoise! Its is not recommended to get Turquoise wet either.
